I'm sure glad I didn't pay full price to see that shit. Mark Wahlberg & Dwayne Johnson should be ashamed of themselves to be staring in such trash, not to mention Michael Bay. Perhaps the biggest problem with the movie is that they tried to make it funny. A movie like that should NOT be a comedy.
Of course, this is the director who wants to make the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles into aliens from outer space.
I don't know how anybody is ever disappointed in a movie. I never go in with high expectations and am usually pleasantly surprised. How could you go into this one thinking it actually would be a quality film? Sent from HCPs Baller-Ass iPhone 5...FAMS!
You can be disappointed in a movie, but I don't see how anyone could be disappointed with a Michael Bay film. They're all steaming piles of shit.
The movie is idiotic. Something happens in real life that isnt funny at all and downright wrong, gets turned into a comedy? Michael bay is a jackass
Yeah, that was the mistake right there: Michael Bay. Unless you are a 10 year old boy. Then, you might think he is a fucking genius. Bad Boys I & II; The Rock; Armageddon; Pearl Harbor; The Island; Transformers franchise; and now Pain & Gain. The Rock was actually not that bad. Somehow conned Sean Connery and Ed Harris into classing up his project. The rest are strange breeds. Big over-the-top action flicks that deliver lots of explosions and action and signature Bay "shtick" - extreme close ups; slow-mo running to and from things - especially explosions; tens of millions spent on CGI. But, most mature adults find the Bay Way to be very tiresome. He has his signature style and he doesn't veer from it much. Hasn't grown much as a director from the days he was a big-time commercial and music video guy, which is where the crazy editing style he is known for comes from. And the scripts, oh dear god, awful heaped on awful. He has been nominated for Director 4 times. Worst director Razzies, that is. There are worse directors. But there are few as successful as he is who are this consistently mediocre. Why hasn't he improved? Why doesn't he spend some time, money and effort at making better movies now that he has the commercial success to allow it? His movies make boatloads of money. So, I guess he has the last laugh.
That only part I found remotly funny in the movie is when Danial Lugo (Mark Wahlberg) was playing basketball with the kids and explaining to the kids how to exercise and get girls.
