The 6-6 swingman Justin Holiday the older brother of New Orleans All-Star point guard Jrue Holiday has workouts scheduled with the Utah Jazz and Miami Heat this week he tells CSNNW.com.

According to Holiday on the 11th and 12th of September he's working out for the Jazz. The Heat workout is expected to take place towards the end of the week.

There are ongoing talks of two more workouts he'll be involved in next week however he says there's nothing concrete as of now.

“I'm just going to go into these workouts and give them my all” Holiday told CSNNW.com. “It's important that I leave a good impression because this is a crucial point in my career.”

To elaborate on his “crucial point” Holiday 24 got married a week ago. You could instantly sense his happiness over the phone while discussing his life-long partner. But with his new journey in life comes the reality of altering his decisions.

Holiday spent much of the 2012-13 season playing for the Idaho Stampede of the NBA Development League. During that stint he earned All-NBA D-League Third Team honors and was voted onto the All-Defensive Second Team.

Idaho's head coach Michael Peck praised Holiday for improving each month.

Although the D-League presents the ultimate opportunity for a player to make the jump to the NBA during the course of the season – such as when Holiday was called up by the Philadelphia 76ers in early April and signed for the remainder of the 2012-13 season before being waived in August – it is highly unlikely you'll see Holiday in a D-League uniform next season.

“I would say that's my last option” he said. “I got a family now and I have to do what's best for us. My first option is to make an NBA roster and if that doesn't work out I'll go play overseas. I'm confident that things will work out for the better. I'm just staying ready.”
