Check out my cousin's new little baby hanging with his boy the UFC Heavyweight Champ John "Bones" Jones. Lives nest door to them down in New Mexico! Thought UFC peeps might dig this.

Nice! Not a huge fan of Jones (as I think he needs to move to Heavyweight) but that's awesome, wish I lived next to the champ.

On a side note I've heard Albuquerque is really nice.

Not to derail this thread too much, but why does he need to move to heavyweight? The guy is destroying the lhw division at such a young age, why jump to a new division so soon?

Awesome pic Hcp, I think Jones gets a bad rep that is partially and impartially deserved. No questioning he could end up the best ufc fighter ever though, and most champions (Kobe, Shaq, Jordan) tend to have personalities that rub people the wrong way.

Thanks for sharing this with us

Well after he beats Gus he will have beaten literally all of the good fighters in LHW besides Glover who is overrated as you can be.

Think about it Sonnen, Vitor, Rashad, Machida, Rampage, Shogun, and likely Gus. Who else is left? The LHW is a good division but Jones is out there like man among boys due to his size differential. What's even scarier is can you imagine Jones at his natural weight (235ish probably) in the HW division? I would LOVE to see him go to battle against Cormier, Barnett, and Browne then on to the big boys Cain, JDS, and Werdum.

All those guys are better than the crap Silva has faced and he is thought of as the greatest of all time.

Jones will move up as he ages and it gets harder to cut weight

Haha! Breaking Bad smack! She has sent me pics if all the cool BB locations down there, like the car wash. Ya, this guy moved in next door to them like 3 years ago and has become really close with their family. Never watch MMA stuff.... Boxing is violent enough for The HCP!

I hate Silva with a passion but he has destroyed everyone at 185 besides Weidman of course. Prime Franklin 2x, Marquardt, Prime Hendo, Sonnen 2x, Vitor, Okami, and of course the complete domination of Griffin, Bonnar, and Irvin at 205. Yes he has had his snoozers (Maia and Cote) but the man is the GOAT. In fact I hope he loses to Weidman again so MAYBE just MAYBE we see a super fight between Jones and Silva or Silva and GSP.

Yeah I'm a fan of JON Jones the LIGHT heavyweight champ. Never heard of this heavweight John. Been rooting for Jon since I first saw him bust on the scene at UFC 93. That was the GSP BJ superfight card that got me to start following the sport. Jon has moves and raw physical talents no other fighter has. Would be interested to see him in heavyweight fights sometime but those are some huge dudes so I can understand if he doesn't go that route.

I think Jon Jones is a competitor and would want to prove himself at a bigger division. I mean he has the longest reach in MMA if I'm not mistaken and he would be a VERY solid HW. JDS is only about 235-240 which Jones would probably fight at. I mean he would be going up against real power but he has the speed and length.

Wouldn't you like to find out? I rather watch him go out there and face good fighters then beat the "up and comers" of the LHW division like Glover or Davis.

I've followed UFC for a long time. I followed Pride when they were in business too. Jon Bones Jones is the best I've ever seen. I think he would clean up on the Heavyweight Division if he chose to move up. Right now there is nobody at LHW that can even touch him.

I think Jon Jones would do great at hw, but I still think Cain would beat him.

Look at the UFC fans getting all testy that I didn't spell his name right. My bad, I've just met him, don't follow the sport FAMS!
