Glad to see you made it! Celtics training camp is not that far away! You have a lot to talk about with all of the changes and Rondo's injury.

Hey pride welcome aboard. I don't know where everyone else went. I saw dime on another board & he apparently started his same BS & was booted off the site. I checked a few other sites looking for ESPN posters & I couldn't find a one. Hopefully its because of it being off season.

I'm also a Yankee fan & that board on this site is booming. So I'm hoping once the Celtic season gets going this board will pick up. Feel free to recruit. Looking forward to positive seasons from Rondo, Green, Sullinger & our new big rookie in the middle.

I tried to shoot a few of them messages and never heard back. im sure when the season starts we will pick up with activity.
But back to basketball, my heads spinning with all the stuff that has happened. Im really high on olynk. His offensive skill set is superior to many others of his size. Reminds me of a dirk nowitzki type player. Needs to bulk up a bit though, and learn to bang a little down low. His offense is already NBA ready, he just needs to get into nba forward/center game shape.

I think Olynyk has a real shot at rookie of the year. Time will tell :)

Good to have you on board. Hopefully others will find us as the season draws near. I'm looking forward to the upcoming season. If for no other reason but to see what we have from our young guys. Expecting big seasons from Green & Sully.

Oh I don't see us getting more then 35 wins BUT......as weak as the east looks don't be surprised if that's enough to make the 8th seed.

If Olynyck turns out to be a solid player, I think .500 is doable, and certainly playoffs.

Where do you go from there though? Do Celtics have a lot of money to spend next offseason? .500 and a low playoff seed in the East isn't a good place to be.

Looks to me like they could clear about $10M in actual cap space that they could use to sign players outright.

They have Wallace's contract to use as ballast in a trade.

People tend to look at a list of FAs as if they are the only guys available. In theory, any player could be had. Cap space might net you a really good player as teams try to shed space for next year's FA class.

Good point. With Humphries salary 12M coming off the books that will put the Cs approx 10M under the cap so there is some room to work with. And yes pending on the kind of year they have this coming season guys like Wallace & Bass would be pretty good trade chips.

Also who knows if the Celtics do end up sucking this year they should be left with a fairly good draft choice which again along with Bass & Wallace you could use as trade bait. Much to consider.

It still sticks in my gut that even though we had the worst record in the league we had to have a coin flip with San Antonio for the #1 pick some years back that resulted in the loss of Tim Duncan.
