They should all be playing tonight if I'm not mistaken.

One thing I noticed last night though, when we pulled the goalie the forwards on the ice were Richards, Nash, Boyle, and.....Kristo. Not Kreider. Thought that was interesting.

I won't make anything out of Kreider not being on the ice in the last minute, but this year Kreider needs to go out there and become the player many expect him to. Everyone gave him the Torts excuse for having a poor year last season, but Torts is gone so no excuses this year.

Dylan looks great. They should send him on the first bus to Hartford.

If Lindberg dosen't make the team then they're on Boyles jock for some reason.

Lindberg needs a spot but another who had a great game was Zucc. Very shifty with the puck, great passing, and worked well on the PP. Great assist to Brassard on the first goal. I've never been as down on him as some others have on this board and I think he can contribute on a team not playing Tortorella hockey. Now that said, we could really use his money right now for Step but that's not his fault.

And McIlrath....well McIlrath is not going to have a good time at the next film session.

Yeah, good to get the first win (even if its a fake one) in the AV era. Very excited about the play of both lindberg and fasth. First real look at dylan and his skating is not there at the moment and made one bad giveaway behind his net which the flyers cashed in 2 seconds later. He will obviously start the season in hartford but I hope they keep him up for much of the pre season so he can get some more experience up here as his stomach was probably in knots at his first nhl game action.I wonder if he was skating with that womens coach who worked with boyle. If not, he should be. Another good sign is the PP as the puck moved quickly opening up many good scoring opportunities and seemed to always have someone in front of the friggin goalie which was a welcome sight. Don't know if he can make the team as a 4th liner but haley hits everything in sight and gives us some much needed toughness besides dorsett as I can't see asham making this team.

McIlrath struggled defensively. That's not a surprise. He isn't a guy who needs to pinch a lot or rush the puck. He needs to play a safe, simple game. I think he tried to do way too much last night.
