Theories: 1. He no longer has to share time with Sergio Llllulll, his evil alter-ego. 2. He finally got some good coaching.
Sergio came over way too early. Having McMillan as his coach certainly didn't help either. He finally looks like an NBA player. Sergio for backup PG anyone?
I don't think we can afford him - he probably earns over $3M in Spain - along with free accommodation, and he's a star on the best team in Europe and plays fewer games. Plus, one thing we currently don't need is backup PG (although he would instantly be the best passer on the team.) If he comes back to the NBA, I'm guessing Lakers after they whiff on the big names next year.
Sergio has the same M.O. as John Stockton--fantastic passer, opportunistic shooter. As Boob agrees, neither was a great shooter with a hand in his face, but each made shots when a seam opened and he took advantage. McMillan just had a thing for Blake over anyone, as was later proven when Miller didn't start.
