Re: Kobe's AMAZING block on Michael Redd... I am sure many of you have seen this in people' avatars or whatnot, but here is the actual video:http://youtube.com/watch?v=AIR6ObY1PKcAMAZING.
Re: Kobe's AMAZING block on Michael Redd... OK what qualifies that as being amazing. Both hands didn't even touch the ball. Only his left hand did.I wanna see the clip on this block:That block actually took skill, he had to reach out. Kobe's was just timing right. Redd didn't even try to dodge.

You make it seem like timing is easy, but it's what seperates the best blockers in the league to average blockers. He did it on fastbreak, and had guts to do it despite possibility of being posterized (ala Nenad Krstic on Wade). It took AMAZING timing and athletic ability.
Re: Kobe's AMAZING block on Michael Redd... Yeah, why can't Yao learn timing. There have been numerous fast break blocks. What makes this one so much better than the rest? Nothing.

Now remember, Kobe was running to the side of Redd, both were over the rim, and the timing was pure perfection. Usually blocks on fastbreaks are done by one player already at the basket to block the shot, Kobe came from the side.
Re: Kobe's AMAZING block on Michael Redd... There's another one where Kobe actually CAUGHT the ball and took it the other way. I can't find it though
Re: Kobe's AMAZING block on Michael Redd... Not Kobe, but something similar by MJ with the Wizards:http://youtube.com/watch?v=E48YK9Q5arU

It wasn't nearly as finesse as the Kobe or MJ block.
Re: Kobe's AMAZING block on Michael Redd... I dont have the video but how about amare dunking tim duncan in playoffs nearly risky injury to his hand
Re: Kobe's AMAZING block on Michael Redd... Yeah, that was a great block because it won the game for them. Amazing wrist strength to stop a dunk with just his wrist.
Re: Kobe's AMAZING block on Michael Redd... Or the dunks where Amare smacks the sh*t into the 3rd row or that KMart that went like all the way to halfcourt.
Re: Kobe's AMAZING block on Michael Redd... One of Kobe's better blocks, probably in the top 5 for him. It gets extra points because it was clutch.

Re: Kobe's AMAZING block on Michael Redd... You all wanna talk about BLOCKS!???!! Yall wanna talk about BLOCKS???!!!!!!!Greatest blocked shot of all time. Also consider the time of the game, the score, and the situation (Detroit down 1-0 in the series)Greatest block of all time.
Re: Kobe's AMAZING block on Michael Redd... Yeah, that was a fantastic block. I remember that game clearly, and that block really pissed me off as I hated Detroit. Extremely difficult block, but I don't think it was the greatest of all time.
