What do you think? It was the banner hanging in front of the Museum for the last couple months advertising the big bicycle show they had. It's 8' wide by 8.5' tall, I had to fold back the last 6 inches to put it up.

No, it's the banner that the Museum made to advertise the big bicycle show they had going on for the last few months. A good friend of mine works at the museum and got it for me once the show was over.

It is a photo, very detailed, printed on a high quality tarp. The part folded under at the bottom details the collection .

This photo really doesn't do it justice, Standing right next to it, looking at the rust and other details, larger than life, is what makes it cool to me.

haha, no, it's just not something most people would hang in their house, so I was wondering if it's just me that likes it, or if others did too. But I didn't make it.

It's perfect for introducing an alternative transportation theme to your next KKK rally.

"Hey guys, my sheet has a bike on it!"

It looks like you stole a poster off the street and nailed it to your wall.

It was. But I like it inside. I got offered $300 for it earlier today, I said I'd think about it, but I don't think I'll accept that. I just think its awesome.

Yeah, if you canvass backed it and put it on a wooden frame it'd be ok (pricy to be done right), but its still way too big for your wall. You need a border above and below otherwise it will just be too gaudy.

My father also loves bikes, modern art and had high vaulted ceilings. If he wants it, it would look fresh in his house, but my parents just left for a three week bike trip in France. Otherwise I might just store it. I just don't know. I want it to fit, but you don't always get what you want.

Just thinking now, perhaps I mount it and hang it as a present for my parents when they return.

Oh, no need to canvas back it, it's a real thick material. Stretch it over plywood and build a simple frame should be all it needs.

What would be really sick is if you mounted it in your front yard, but with a pit covered with grass right in front of it, so whomever comes too close falls into the pit! Performance art! :MARIS61:
