Don't forget the Pittsburgh Steelers. I know they got beat by Jacksonville last night, but you can't take anything away from them. Polamalu was playing hurt and they were playing on the road. Even still they played tremendoues defense holding Jacksonville to only 9 points, while not being able to get anything going on offense, which caused their D to get warned out near the end.My rankings are...1. Steelers2. Bears3. Ravens4. Jaguars5. Panthers (when healthy)With the Seahawks just missing out.Edit: Okay I see you added the Ravens now. :happy0144:

I say the Ravens. It's sort of a homer pick but they are amazing. I'd like to see how they do against a better offense, but right now I think I'd have them at #1. I think they will definetly prove to be better than the Steelers D(if anyone disagrees talk to ya tommorow) but the Bears are tough so I don't know, we'll see if they're the best.

Big woop. We're two weeks into the season..They played the Panthers without Steve Smith and the Bucs with Chris "turnover machine" Simms. You guys have a solid D, but no way you're top 5 worthy.

Jaguars are missing Hayward, so that's a big loss.Bears have Brian Urlacher, Lance Briggs, Mike Brown, Tommie Harris, Adewale Ogunleye, Charles Tillman, and Nathan Vasher. Scary defense, the best in my opinion.Carolina's owns too, when they are healthy. Kris Jenkins, Julius Peppers, and Dan Morgan anchor that injury prone D.

Well let's see each teams studs. Jacksonville DL: John Henderson, Marcus Stroud, Reggie Hayward. LB: Mike Peterson S: Rashean Mathis, Donovin Darius Pittsburgh Steelers DL:Casey Hampton, Aaron Smith LB: Joey Porter, Clark Haggans S: Troy Polamalu, Ike Taylor Atlanta Falcons DL: John Abraham, Rod Coleman, Grady Jackson, Patrick Kerney LB: Keith Brooking S: DeAngelo Hall, Lawyer Milloy Baltimore Ravens DL: Trevor Pryce, Haloti Ngata, Terrell Suggs LB: Ray Lewis S: Samari Rolle, Chris McAlister, Ed Reed Chicago Bears DL: Tommie Harris, Adewale Ogunleye LB: Brian Urlacher, Lance Briggs S: Mike Brown, Charles Tillman, Nathan Vasher, Chris Harris Carolina Panthers DL: Kris Jenkins, Julius Peppers, Mike Rucker LB: Dan Morgan S: Kenny Lucas, Chris Gamble Best All-Around 1. Chicago Bears: Tommie Harris is the most underrated player in football, he anchors the line and makes Alex Brown's job easier. They have 2 pro-bowl linebacks and one of the most active secondaries in the league. Vasher is amazing and Harris is a young stud in the making. Great 2007 Potential 1. Atlanta Falcons: They are downright SCARY up front. Rod Coleman gets pressure up the middle like a bulldozer and 350 pound Grady Jackson swallows all RB's hopes inside. The DE's are elite and will make a QB's job impossible. The secondary is iffy but Hall is one of the leagues best. Run Stuffers 1. Jacksonville Jaguars: John Henderson and Marcus Stroud are 330 and 340 pound marshmellow men inside making it almost impossible to run through.

Saying they will be great in a few years makes little sense because every team has the chance to greatly improve their defense.

Browns have what it takes there LB's are all pro bowls IMO.Daivs(should of been a Pro Bowler), Willie(already a Pro Bowler), Wimbley(he is just soo good will be a pro bowler I in sure u that)and CB's Baxter will get to be 100%, Bodden is a pro bowler as it is!We got what it takes but were hurt and browns lost today and we should of had it!

Your defensive backfield is average.

It's between chicago, baltimore, and jax.Chicago has the best defence all around (as BCB said) and they will probably continue to dominate on D for while. The Ravens have pretty much always been an awesome defensive team but there is a downfall to that. Some of their guys are getting old, (Ed Reed is still good but he can't get the job done on his own) but not too old YET. They just arent a defense of the future, but still - they have f*cking 7 potential pro bowlers.Jax has a very talented team and they seem much younger than most, so I believe that in a few years if Jacksonville plays their cards right they could have a playoff contender. And Atlanta, while they are not up there YET, they will be. Look at their roster and look for a much more defensive minded team. Plus they have the greatest running game as a team I've ever seen.

Seahawks are definitely in contention, but I'd say the Jags.

Look at their LB crew. Simply amazing. Also, they have a good secondary with Ike Taylor, Superman (Troy Polamalu) and Deshea Townsend. The Jags have a real good defensive line, and a good scondary as well, but I would definately give the edge to the Steelers.
