Confirmed Rivera-Retirement Pettitte- Retirement Likely Hughes Free Agent Chamberlain Free Agent Kuroda Free Agent Granderson Free Agent Youkilis Free Agent Hafner Free agent should retire Overbay Free Agent Ryan Free Agent Possibly Logan is a free agent Mark Reynolds is a free agent. Personally I would bring him back. Ridiculous contracts you might not know about Stewart is signed thru the 2016 season Nunez is signed thru the 2017 season Nix is signed thru the 2015 season
who is gonna want him? he has the fifth worst war in the major leagues. nobody would give up anything useful for him. he sucks
Triple AAA depth for emergency call up. That all that Stewart is worth. Nunez has some skills, Nix is what would be considered an adequate utility guy.

Neither is major league baseball player, so paying them the league minimum is overpaying them. I know you "like" Stewart (for reasons only known to you), but you have let it go. Your defense of him this season has been admirable, but misguided.
...making shit up again...some things never change. ..both players are bench/backup players who were forced into starting roles only because management could not/would not do any better for the team....find where I EVER said Stewart was a great catcher...fact is you won't...the ONLY thing I have EVER said in the defense of Stewart, is that after Cervelli went down, Stewart is/was a better option defensively than the others they tried at catcher this year. ...let me put this in a way so that my meaning won't be lost or misconstrued...you're full of shit, vette. .
You went to the mat for Stewart many times this year 59 - openly stated that playing him gave the Yankees a better chance to win games, as if his menial contributions would actually amount to him being the difference as to whether they won or lost. And stating that he's a "bargain" as if him being brought back makes any sense to anyone other than you, seeing he is not fit to play in the majors. Bottom line - if Chris Stewart is on this roster next year, it will be just another sign that the Yankee brass is not serious about putting together a decent team on the field.
...you just can't help it, can you?...how many times times have you tried to put your own words in my mouth that I never said, only to have them thrown right back at you? Are you naturally devoid of reading comprehension, or is it an acquired trait?...you only see what you want to see, instead of what has actually been said. ...the search option actually works good on this board...feel free to search for the things I actually said concerning Stewart. ...yes, I did say when compared to Austin Romine, Stewart was a better option, and he was....feel free to prove me wrong. But in your world you simply choose to construe that as me saying Stewart is a great catcher or something, when I said nothing of the sort...for the umpteenth time, that's your problem, not mine. ...as far as him being "a bargain", again, like I already said, he's a backup/bench player and is being paid about what other backup catchers are paid. You're also free to show where I said Stewart should be brought back as a starter next year...I never did, but you already knew that. ...if you'll remember, we both lobbied for A. J. Piereyechart to be the Yanx' catcher...but he was not signed. It's not Stewarts fault for being at the level of mediocrity that he is, and it's not his fault that Cervelli or someone else wasn't catching...it's management's fault for having him in the starting position to begin with.
I was looking at baseball reference and it said arbitration for 2014 and free in 2015. Could be wrong. Somebody call Francesa.
...^^^ I read it the same way at BBR, messiah....he's still arby-eligible next year. ...and this is from RAB; http://riveraveblues.com/2013/01/2014-payroll-breakdown-part-one-81012/ "Arbitration-Eligible In 2014: Brett Gardner (third time), David Robertson (third time), Frankie Cervelli (first time), Chris Dickerson (first time), Ivan Nova (first time), Michael Pineda (first time), Clay Rapada (first time), Chris Stewart (first time)"
