Roger Mason Jr. has emerged as a player working out for the Miami Heat. Even with 13 players under guaranteed contract for 2013-14, and with 18 players already invited to camp, the Heat continue to audition candidates, with journeyman guard Von Wafer among those at recent sessions. Mason, 33, recently was elected as the vice president of the NBA players union. Mason played in 69 games with New Orleans last season.
