This team was pretty much nailed when they stumblebummed their way to a loss against the Giants on Sunday. I was hoping they could make a series of this but I guess not to be. Offense is in choke mode tonight, Huges will probably get rocked tomorrow. We have a chance for one with Nova. I don't however think the wild card entrants will stack up well against the Division winners. I think Cleveland will be in there with their schedule. You know the Angels will do their best to take Texas out of the equation.

Unfortunately, we are done. This offense and pitching is on fumes. I want Ellsbury, McCann, and Drew for Christmas...

As long as Ebenezer Steinbrenners are owners that wish may never come true.

Sorry we are stuck with Stewart, Ichiro, Wells and instead of Drew they will try and retain Ryan. It will be a banner 2014. Oh joy get ready.

While Santa is at it I hope he can throw in Kendrys Morales. Those 4 players would make the Yankees SERIOUS contenders again. But then I woke up.....SHIT! it was only a dream.

Morales has always been your pick Rick from the start. I agree for a lot of reasons. Right now, I am praying for Ichiro to retire. Wells to decide to go on a humanitarian effort anywhere in the world except New York. Stewart to take the assistant managers job at Denny's and Joba to be put back on a Reservation, any Reservation. Nearly 20% of our roster has been improved by subtraction.

I also discovered that though he may not win any gold gloves at the position he's also played a hand full of games in right field. So the guy fills 3 holes. A DH, a back up first baseman & a fill in RFer if needed. He's making 5.2M this season so I'm thinking 3 years at 27M could get it done.

    2014 starting line up.......................

    CF Ellsbury
    SS Jeter / Drew
    2B Cano
    1B Teixeira
    LF Soriano
    C McCann
    DH Morales
    3B Drew
    RF Gardner
