Seeing Andy Pettitte & Derek Jeter going out to the mound to take Mo out of the game was terrific. But seeing Mo cry while embracing them both was just heart breaking. Then hearing the fans call him back out not once but twice. I'll admit I got goose bumps watching it.

I'll pick up the highlights, we are seeing the end of an era with Mo & Pettitte, we'll hope Jeter comes back and has one last good season.

At the end of the game he sat in the dug out alone for a few minutes before going back out to the mound to get some of the mound dirt. Then one last bit of thanks & waves to the fans. When asked how he felt when Andy & Derek came out he said he needed them out there with him. How does one spell Rivera?.....C L A S S.

Incredible scene. I will remember that forever. What a player, what a man and what a incredible sendoff he has had.

I really respect how Girardi has handled this process, especially tonight.

I may be one of the first of many to hold the door for Girardi on his way out after the season but I'll give him props for the way this night was handled. Sending Andy & Derek out there to get Mo was a BRILLIANT move & a terrific way to say thank you to the fans.

Saw the highlights on quick pitch, lost it like I saw his retirement ceremony. There are many closers in MLB but only one MO. The man will be missed.

Not having cable/satellite, I didn't get to see it live, but there were videos going around on facebook shortly after it happened and I was able to see it... I'll admit that I was all weapy eyed as well... and as you said, what Girardi did in having Pettitte and Jeter go out there was as you said BRILLIANT! He will be sorely missed...
