None of these plays made thesportingnews.com's top 15 at their positions.

    Lillard made #15 PG
    LMA made #2 PF

    Naysayers rejoice!

A little surprising that Batum didn't, but the others aren't really close, IMO anyway

I don't think Wes or Rolo are top 15, but I don't see how Batum isn't top 15.

unlike the ESPN rankings, this is just one guy. Granted, it is one of the few national writer's I respect, it's still just one guy.

Batum will lose his job to Wright, as he did to Wallace.

    LOL.

Well if that is indeed the case, this team is not heading to playoffs. The Blazers need him to be a integral part of what they do.

What does Batum do that Wright can't? And Wright shoots much better. He's Mr. Right.

Let's not kid ourselves. I agree he has not showed it nor do I know if he has intent to show it. But his potential is far greater. His skill set rockets above Wrights.

You are wrong about Wright. But you may be right about Batum, who may feel wronged for us not freeing him to play with Love. Let's hope he sets things right this year and forgets Love.

I hope he is as good as you say he is. A lot of others in here compare him to Martell Webster. If that is the case, that sets him well short of Nic. What I hope is that he plays with fire and finds away to get Nic to play with fire.

Aw, I'm just playing with words. I don't know what will happen. But Batum is boring me with his non-improvement.

Does he fit better along side Lillard? Can Wright play a enough point forward that would allow Lillard to do what he does best......... Shoot?

I am hoping Batume can. Maybe Wright can as well, I don't know. But I do know that it is not necessarily who is better, but rather who fits in better with the other starters.
    My money is on Batum.

This is what an average team looks like. We have two great players and a bunch of average ones for their position. We won't have times where we're simply outclassed like we were last year with our bench on the floor, but we're not going to be great.
