From the Lassie TV show. Everytime I see a picture of this kid, I am reminded of a Pilot in the dirink near Kinmen Island many years ago. I could tell the guy was messed up, he was hanging onto the rope attached to his raft with his teeth. So I went into the water to give him a hand, he had both arms dislocated at the humorous/shoulder joint. I tied the raft tether to him and wrapped an arm around him, the poor guy was shaking like a willow leaf. To calm him a bit before I hoisted into his raft, I asked him, "What is your name LT"? He said, "Tommy".
Sorry. I stumble upon this picture today looking for some other stuff on the net, and Tommy jumped out at me. I guess I just thought I would share it a little. Most of the Navy fighter Pilots in that day were pretty little guys as was Tommy.
After Tommy (mid 50s) came Timmy (late 50s). Timmy's mother was June Lockhart (Lost in Space, late 60s). June Lockhart was the beautiful model mother. My mother would watch Lassie with me and tell me that my parents had been out with June before they were married. June's father Gene was a famous actor in the 40s and had entertained them all before a play he was in on Broadway. I just ignored my mother and kept watching Timmy and Lassie. I can still whistle the theme.
