Is scary :MARIS61: 14,000 people already out of power in the metro area. PapaG must be reading us on his Iphone 3 via tapatalk.
I listen to the wind, to the wind of my soul. Where I'll end up, well I think, only goD only knows... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cd2jXsmSaKc
If you mean the time where Portland metro lost power for almost a week or so, and they boarded up the wall on waterfront, that was late 95 or early 96. I don't remember.
HAHAHAHAHA!!!! We go next weekend in the sun. I'm here with the wife's family (aka I'm watching football).

Just got home and there's branches down from trees all over our neighborhood. Must have been a crazy storm! Sent from my baller ass iPhone 5 FAMS!
Power out here in North Vancouver area. I guess all of North Portland is out of power with a tree landing on a transformer on Greeley and Killingsworth.
According to my neighbor, my street in LO lost power for about 14 hours. Given the root system of coniferous trees, wind is always the scariest part of a storm in the PNW.
Thanks for your concern, EL-P. We lost power twice with 30 minutes for about 10-15 seconds each time. Our numerous oak trees have lots a lot of leaves (the backpack blower will get a lot of use later this week), but all is good. Much of the appliances are gas, and we have four gas fireplaces in the house, so we'll stay plenty warmth if we do lose power.
Pouring super-hard right now. Very gusty, too. But just loving sitting osu of the covered back deck and watching the rain come down.
