3 starters (and the ROY as the 4th)? Olshey seems to be using the Pete Carroll/John Schneider plan for talent acquisition.
This team has been shit for 3 years. You know what pisses me off? Anyone? I'll give you plenty of time to guess.
That's right. After Juwan Howard saved our ass the year Pritchard didn't get a backup for Oden and Przybilla, Howard was unceremoniously booted from the team. He then played 3 years for Miami. Suddenly they made the Finals all 3 years, winning the Championship twice. Think of what he could have done for us. Well, it's too late to try to sign him now. The Heat value him so much, that to keep him from escaping to another team, they announced today that he's their new assistant coach. They'll break him in for a year and then it's back to the film projector for Spoelstra. http://nba.si.com/2013/09/28/juwan-...istant-coach-michigan-fab-five/?sct=nba_t2_a2
And get this. Last season, Freeland made $2.898M while Howard made only $1.352M. That's a ratio of 2 1/7 to 1. I know what you're thinking. 7 Howards are better than 15 Freelands. But it was the inverse. A team of 7 Freelands made as much as a team of 15 Howards. That's even more mind-boggling.
Don't do that! It's all SPDs fault, make a thread about him in the OT section. You'll feel much better.
Fine, I'll bite. Howard wanted to stay around so much that, before even talking to the Blazers, he "pushed" to sign a one-year, minimum contract with the Heat to go ring-shopping. And he's been so effective that he's played only 241 more minutes than you or Greg Oden have in the last 2 years.
