Great job by his (Pettittes) Team Mates. Andy throws 17 innings, gives up 2, his team could only score 3. I wish the guy the best I've enjoyed his Yankee Service as much as I did seeinf Ford & Guidry!
Nice, also, to know that he got the win to pull to .500 for the season ensuring he NEVER had a loosing season in his career... quite amazing
Great ending for Andy. I didn't mind the offense struggling because it added to things that he won a pitchers dual. Ultimately the way things broke (litterally in the case of many players), this season things ended about as well as they could for both Mariano and Andy. Obviously, we'd all love to see a game 7 World Series performance where Andy goes 7 strong and Mo 2 for the save as the way to end things but that was not to be with this group. So, I'm happy with it for them at least.
