I have never understood why people tale gate? Does it really make the driver in front of you go faster? You know who are the worst at this is young women drivers.

Also, when people make sudden moves and I have to jerk my steering wheel. It always makes me spill my beer.

My actual pet peeve is during highway driving and it might be a journey to explain the scenario but bear with me. You're on cruise in the right hand lane and there is a slower moving vehicle up ahead. There is a person moving slightly faster than you in the left hand lane coming up to pass you. At this point you could move into the left lane to get around the vehicle ahead of you but in so doing you'd be moving in front of the vehicle in the left lane. The easiest thing to do is wait for the vehicle in the left to pass you and hope that you haven't caught up to the one ahead of you, all the while being able to keep the cruise on. My peeve is when the person in the left lane drives just slow enough to ensure that you're caught behind the vehicle ahead of you and not able to move over so you have to slow down, wait for the person in the left to pass, then get in behind them. If that person would speed up just a touch you'd both be able to go around easily. Guess it boils down to people driving a little too slow in the passing lane. Thanks and good night.

My pet peeve are people driving below the speed limit and when a passing area or lane comes up they speed up to 10 over the limit (or more) to prevent anyone from passing and then slow down again when it drops back to single lane/no passing.

That bothers me too. That and people who pass you super aggressively, only to take the next exit. Most stuff doesn't bother me though, because I know I occasionally will make a stupid choice (out of necessity or just carelessness). And I know that people sometimes have stressful lives and it's not worth me getting upset.

Although I was once cut off by an idiot who didn't use his blinkers up near Seattle (on I-5). I honked my horn, but once i was done, I didn't care.

    Yup. 100%.

I can't stand people who drive slowly in the passing lane. When I was living in LA for a while, the far left lane was for people going 90. If you were going the speed limit in the left lane, you'd have a $100,000 car up your ass.

Like you, I don't get all that upset by most idiot drivers because when I was in high school I was the world's worst driver. Had a super hot car, passed on the shoulder.... I was horrible. But a fatal car accident slowed me down.

For me, despite the somewhat aggressive nature I present on here, I'm not at all aggressive IRL.

yes and no. Yes in the sense that I express myself better on here than I do in real life, but no because it's not what i say isn't what I believe or I'm like a character that certain posters here present.

In the end, it isn't about pet peeves, it's about revenge. For example, if I get cut off by an 18 wheeler, I simply wait until there is an uphill section. At that point I pull in front of them and slow down to 30 mph. Once they've slowed down, I speed away, leaving them to climb the hill from pretty much a dead stop.
