    I said this before. I am surprised more people aren't simply referring to it as the MC. Kind of paying homage to the Memorial Coliseum.

    Been around people, and that's what I've heard it called. But you will definitely hear "Moda Center" on out broadcasts and advertising.

    It's still the Rose Garden, and likely will always be called that by 90% of all Oregonians. MODA may have payed Seattle-ite Paul Allen to rename it, but all MODA has done for Oregonians is consistently gouge them on health insurance rates. I see no reason to join their advertising team.

    To paraphrase Alice's Restaurant:

    If the PA announcer says "and the MODA CENTER is..." there's only one thing you can do is just stand up wherever you are, just stand up and yell: "The Rose Garden!!" And sit down. You know, if one person, just one person does it they may think he's really sick and they won't take him seriously, and if two people, two people do it, in harmony, they may think they're both odd and they won't take either of them seriously. And if 50 people do it, they may think it's an organization. And can you imagine 15,000 people standing up yelling "The Rose Garden" and sitting down? Friends they may thinks it's a movement.

    Again, this just isn't that big of an issue with me. Keep making improvements to the team like they did this last offseason and you can call it the Mamba Center for all I care. I cheer for the team, not the arena.

    Yeah I'm all for them changing the name to the Moda center if it'll give the team a few $. Make up for some of the mistake of Roys contract. I think it really should've been sold years ago.

    Crap, what they should have done is sell the naming rights to Brandon Roy. Get a bunch of Paul's money back from Roy and it could be Roy's Rose Garden. Or shorter, the Roy's Garden.
