<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>As far as who?s going to start and all that, it?s pretty much wide open as I see it. Everyone?s going to come in and play hard and do their best to get the starting job.?</div>
I have said it, and I will say it again - I hope Telfair starts. Delonte would be better suited for the bench because we have no shooting off the bench, and he would get more touches. And Telfair is an excellent playmaker who will create easier shots for Paul, Wally, Gomes, and Big Al.

But I like how playing here is so convenient for his family and friends. It's only a 3 hour drive now, his family can come see him all the time.

we stand different on the telfair situation. I think Delonte deserves the starting spot. I think he'll earn int in training camp.

Delonte is a very good player, no doubt about it. But I just think it's a better fit if Telfair started. For one, he's a born leader and true PG/playmaker. Delonte is a shooter/scorer/hustler. If we start Delonte and bring Telfair off the bench, we will HAVE to rely on the running game and we will be sh*t outta luck with shooting, for the most part. Then, we would only be able to score off penetration and Big Al's post game. That won't always work. If we bring Delonte off the bench, we will have a running game plus a reliable shooter/scorer. Gerald Green can score, but he probably won't get too many minutes yet.

Telfair/Pierce/Wally/Gomes/Perk - Telfair will get our best scorers the ball in the right spots as well as run the break.

West/Allen/Green-Scal/Big Al/Ratliff - we have low post offense and defense, running game, and a shooter.

But if you put Delonte with Paul and Wally, his touches will be lower than what they would be with the second unit, and we wouldn't have a real playmaker. Then, again, we would have no reliable outside source.

my take on it is, telfair is more of a full-court fast break type of player, much like Allen and Green which will serve in the second unit. Where as Delonte is much more suited for the half court game with his poise and shooting.
