I got in on it late, and heard nothing worth summarizing.

LaMarcus had a good interview. He isn't the greatest speaker so they can be hit or miss but I liked this one. Barrett asked about him not having to play as many minutes this season and LA said he never once complained about playing minutes as he was asked a lot of questions on that today. Eventually he did briefly agree it could help if the starters were more fresh though. He was excited to play with Lopez and kind of threw JJ under the bus. Talked about how it will be nice to have a player that doesn't have ulterior motives when hes on the court. LA likes the frontcourt with him and Nic and Lopez. Barrett asked about TRob and LA said some good things and specifically mentioned playing some five with TRob at the 4 which I thought was an encouraging sign. He said they didn't need to specifically worry about playoffs right now they just need to focus on playing well as a team, working on defense first and scoring second and if they all do that a playoff birth will come easily.

Draco, I pity you. You didn't recognize the unhappiness and ploy for a trade? Can I un-rep this fool?

The Aldridge interview was in the player interviews, which preceded Courtside. There are a Media Day thread and this Courtside thread, so I told Gramps, nothing to report about Courtside.

This interview was aired during Courtside but taped earlier in media day with Barrett. Aldridge also did other interviews; I saw one on blazers tv

Okay. The part I saw had only Wheeler and Antonio Harvey talking about nothing. Harvey made fun a little of last season's bench.

And Nolan Smith is looking like an All-Star?
    Kemp looks great.
Sergio's defense will make Payton's look bad.

    I see. :)

Not strictly courtside, but ... living in the Bay Area, for a couple of weeks now the sports pages have had daily articles on the Warriors even though it's not yet preseason. Profiles of new players, updates on returning players, interviews with coaching staff, etc. - all designed of course to generate fan interest. Does the Oregonian do that as well or are they still firmly committed to trashing the home team?

Just wondering if it's worth reading oregonlive.com/blazers?
