I guess they pretty firmly established that Todd was an idiot not a savant when they had him looking out the window at Walt's car. Duhhh, Mr. White? Your car looks like--gaaahhkkkkk! Maybe Tood convinced Jack to let him kill Walt. Would make sense given that Jack says "I'm going to kill you myself!" after Walt brings up Jesse.
Marie knows about Jesse, and how he was involved in Walter White's empire. Jesse stayed at the Schrader house right before Hank died. I'm going to guess that she told the cops about Jesse, and that he is as wanted as Walt. For all she knows, Pinkman set up Hank and Gomez to die. I still wonder if Huell is still sitting in the hotel room, waiting for word from Hank! Or how about Kuby, who went to Mexico for a bit, when he got back? Strolls into the strip mall to see Saul, nobody is there, and the place is abandoned. I hope he took at least $200k from the Barrels O'Money!

Thanks for registering! The flip side to that is Hank & Gomie were operating as vigilantes and lying to the DEA. Whatever they have on Pinkman based on Marie's testimony (she might not know much at all, maybe not even Jesse's name) is a wash given that it was obtained illegally. Or not. I'm not sure what the rules are. It was clear that Hank was keeping it on the DL and he didn't really give a shit what happened to Jesse.
I know they were neo-Nazi idiots, but how do you stumble into $70m and still live in that shithole compound after many months? Seems like somebody would have bought at least, I don't know, maybe a car from this decade or something.
Vince Gilligan Shares 5 Alternate Endings http://www.thewrap.com/breaking-bad-vince-gilligan-shares-5-alternate-endings/
Wow.. Vince Gilligan is evening crazier than I suspected. That idea he had before the show even started would have been insane.
Good find, very interesting As much as I loved the show I didn't really like the ending. I didn't hate it, but I would have rather them gone the route of Walt ruthlessly running his international drug cartel for awhile, then die or not. i also wasn't a big fan of how Jessie was used overall in the series. Jessie seemed unnecessarily unstable and destructive. I realize that he sort of lost it by killing Gale but his craziness went to far IMO. Also he was overly blinded by rage towards Walt and couldn't figure out that Walt wasn't trying to kill him, like why would Walt give him millions and a new life if he wanted him dead? I sort of felt the same way during season 3 (or was it 4?) where Walt was paranoid Gus was trying to have him killed, and Walt pushed that confrontation kind of destructively and unnecessarily. The other aspect of the ending I didn't like was the machine gun set up Walt built. First of all, how realistic is that? Second, and it killed pretty much everyone? I would rather the end scene had something to do with chemstry, like when he blew up Tuco with bomb disguised as meth. Obviously Im just splitting hairs here as I absolutely loved this show. Those were just a few things that bugged me.
^ You might like Norm MacDonald's theory that Walt dies praying in the parking lot in New Hampshire (in the snow, like The Shining), and everything that follows starting with him magically finding the keys in the visor is an extended fantasy sequence conjured up by Walt's dying, sick mind. The song that starts playing is about a dead cowboy not a hero. There are clues that this actually may be true (Walt telling Skyler "I was alive", her allowing him to see Holly after he fucking kidnapped her last time, the dreamy haze in the kitchen, the fact he gets in and out unnoticed), the Stevia packet and going to a crowded restaurant & a diner unnoticed, Walt becoming Mike at the Schwartz's house ("If we're gonna go that way, you're gonna need a bigger knife"), Walt's trunk gun plan going off without a hitch (none of his plans ever go off without a hitch), and some of the bizarre/out of character dialogue ("are you wearing a wig?" "no" "it looks like you're wearing a wig"). Like in the parking lot, Walt dies in the lab being encircled by the police, who just show up out of nowhere (one would assume the desert lab is in a very remote location).
Everything you say you would prefer would make the show much worse in my opinion. You seem to be saying you wanted them to take the emotions out of it. Gus was trying to kill Walt.. He realized from the beginning that Walt was a terrible business partner. The machine gun was fucking awesome. Walter went out like the badass criminal he realized he liked being.
He didn't get in and out unnoticed.. Marie said he had been spotted in multiple places. Walt sounding like Mike is explained by how he picks up characteristics of his murder victims. M60s are very loud.
