Let's assume Lamarcus and Lillard are in, who are the other 3? My pick: Mo Williams, Nic Batum, Robin Lopez.
Lillard, Mo, Wes, Batum, LMA. I'm assuming by crunch time you mean down 1-3 pts and needing a bucket to win or tie.
This one is pretty versatile. If you can't substitute Offense for Defense then I would also go with this. If it is one play and you are on D, then Lopez comes in. If you have one last shot to tie or win ....I would get Mo in for the extra ball handler. (either Wes or Wright would come out)
I'm really hoping Wright will prove to be a floor stretcher. If we need a bucket, I'd go with Dame, Mo, Nic, Wright, LMA. If we need to get a stop, obviously I'd go with Dame, Wes, Nic, LMA, Lopez
Crunch Time actually has an official-ish definition: 5 minutes or less left in the game, score is within 6 points in either direction. My lineup? Offensively: Dame, LMA, Batum, Matthews, Mo. Lots and lots of offensive weapons, everybody can shoot free throws, everybody can shoot the three. Defensively: Dame, LMA, Batum, Matthews, Lopez. Robin is a risk to foul out, but you have to keep him in there to prevent people from running through us into the paint unheeded.
LeBron Bosh Bird Chalmers Ray Allen :O For PDX, I'll guess Dame/Nic/Wes/LA/Lopez. I'll look at some figures later to confirm I guess.
Dam, CJ, Wes, TRob, LMA Thats what I'd like to see hopefully Damian can improve his defense or else I'd sub Watson with him on that end of the floor. It'd be fun to see these young guys out there but it might take a while until they are ready to push Mo/Batum/Lopez to the bench.
I really think it's a testament to not only our depth but our flexibility (having the luxury of having players play multiple positions) that posters have chosen so many different but viable lineups.
If Nic improves a little more on his assist to turn over ratio: We need the D: Nic, Wes, Wright, LMA, Lopez We just want some O: Dame, Mo, Wes, Nic, LMA
Matthews has to be in the crunch time lineup. One thing about that guy is he won't shy away from taking the big shot (ala the shot that beat Miami).
This one also crossed my mind. Nic uses his length well when he has guarded PG's. Dame may not liked being out in those situations, but I agree that is a good lineup on D unless.....the other team needs a 3 to tie. Then you would not want two bigs in the game. (Damian would be in for Lopez)
There are two (maybe three?) players I can think of in our "Crunch Time" lineup. After that? No. Fucking. Clue.
