Here I have been bitchin for a week, bad mouthing my former company right along with Obama.

Turns out I had not yet heard the full story which I did just today.
The guys in charge were really unhappy with the Democrats laying a tax on the company for each employee and retiree they covered with a healthcare plan. So they dropped the Retirees and that is the only word I got until today. So instead of providing us healthcare and paying the tax, they opened up a medical savings plan for each of us with one of the Exchanges and plunked $3500 bucks into the accounts for 2014 and then each year to follow.

We get to buy our own Medigap plan or Medicare Advantage plan, pay for it out of the fund and use the rest to pay the Co-pays and what ever. Damn good thinking. I guess something similar is in the works for the current regular employees too. Heh, heh!

Oh, it's certainly still falling. But Marzy found out that he won't be pushed outside with the rest of us like he thought he would.

    That's great news for you.

My dad gave 37 years to the company he worked for. They dropped all of their retiree's health care a couple of years ago.

Naw! The sky was never falling for me anyway. The VA takes care of me pretty well thank you.

But I tell you this law sure is screwing around with an awful lot of people. 68% of Americans had been getting their health insurance through their employer. A very large majority of those were covered by self insured employers. I think that is the system that Obama wants to break up to farther his agenda. Placing a federal tax on employers for each person covered is a damn good way to begin to break that system. The tax sure can't be considered logical or even fair by any one other than a Karl Marx fan. It is totally illogical to believe you will raise revenue in this manner to cover the non working population. Watch, they will raise this tax until the system is gone and then it will raise zero revenue proof that the tax has a purpose other than stated.

Next, I expect more and more requirements to cover this and that will be placed on insurance companies to provide until they are gone and or no one is buying their product. Then Obama (or the current Pipe Piper) will come with the plan to save your ass and a new hero will walk among the faithful.

Surprise surprise, but I suppose most of us would like to leave a better world for the Grand kids and their buddies. Sure hate it when it looks like the opposite in the works.
