Re: Paul Harver- If I Were The Devil It's an interesting story/idea. Although I think it's bunk (and self fulfilling, and strawman central), it does make for a good story. But it's dismissive of a lot of things, and embellishes a lot of half truths and scare tactics. Drug use among kids isn't nearly as bad as people think it is and kids aren't going crazy with sex however the glorification of it AND the scare tactic that kids are doing it, is going crazy (oh no! rainbow parties!).
Re: Paul Harver- If I Were The Devil I just thought it was interesting that all the stuff that is destroying our country was so simply and clearly stated before by him.
Re: Paul Harver- If I Were The Devil Thats why I said it was a neat story. But it's much more complex than that, and it makes things that aren't any worse now than they ever have been into a big issue. For example, if I was to address the issues he brought up, and how that would be the devils work, I'd ask when it was that the Devil wasn't at work destroying the US. Because at EVERY time in our history, we (as a country) either done something that was heinous (slavery, racism, dropping a bomb or two on another country, killing hundreds of thousands of people in war, etc), or we as individuals in the country did a lot of those things (obviously we as citizens didn't drop the bombs on Hiroshima/Nagasaki, or all the Napalm in Vietnam), and a large portion of us condoned those acts. I'd rather have our younger people being somewhat sexual in nature on our resume (which is overblown) than say, allowing slavery or our country murdering other people in another nation (wars).
Re: Paul Harver- If I Were The Devil I think big businesses are destroying out country by financing our government officials, but that's just a dumb liberal.
Re: Paul Harver- If I Were The Devil we are slowly turning into exactly what caused people to flee England and come to the US. I wonder if we can "discover" another country, take over the land, and call it our own? (that seems to be another thing the Devil would do...)
Re: Paul Harver- If I Were The Devil Well, to a certain degree this has always been true. To me big business is like a woman. Can't live with them, can't live without them.
Re: Paul Harver- If I Were The Devil oh come on now, that's not true. Unlike big businesses, women wouldn't screw a poor man. Bazinga!
Re: Paul Harver- If I Were The Devil HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! But they will if they think he's rich.
