Chad Curtis sentenced 7 to 15 years for molesting young girls. Wasn't he the one that got pissed off at Jeter for being friendly with A-Rod when he played with the Rangers? I guess talking with the enemy is a no-no but touching young kids is okay.
He was also known to be a bible thumper, and had problems with music in the locker room. I feel sorry for the girls... I was reading where he also screwed with Jim Grey after his walkoff stating that the "team" decided they wouldn't talk to Grey because of his earlier reporting on Pete Rose. A fact that Torre denied about the team boycott...
...wow, that's unreal. Just goes to show that you never really know what's going on inside people's heads...some people are just twisted.
That game took place in Seattle, Yanks and Mariners had a rumble and Arod & Jeter were being buddy buddy while it was going on. Curtis played a nice center while Bernie was out of circulation and had a pretty decent series, this was all in '99 if I remember correctly. Arod and Curtiss were later on the same Rangers Squad when Alex gave the team a lecture on quality play with Curtiss in the audience which I found quite humorous . Molesting young girls, well ask and you shall receive. This is the first time I've heard of this one.
Just read the story behind it, can't figure it out, these guys have it all and get caught up in the dumbest of moves.
