Carol Burnett did a weekly sketch on her show called "As the stomach turns" A parody of the soap opera "As the world turns". A-Rod could be the star of Carol's sketches.

I hope ARod talks and sues his way into prison...At the very least, into that lifetime ban.

What's that old joke that's usually reserved for lawyers. "How can you tell a lawyer is lying?, his lips are moving" Well...that's A-Rod.

If I were innocent or felt wronged, I would fight for my rights and my money. With that said, I will find this very interesting as it unfolds. ESPN stated that with the current suggested suspension that Arod would lose about a 150K per game. So as a business man, all he is doing is trying to mitigate his losses. Whatever reduction in games is a win for him. It is all about the money, we all know that, I am just so tired of the circus that comes with him. And yes, If he hit 300 and had 40 HR's and 100 Rbi's I would still be sick of this guy. He is impossible to root for.

I would too but it doesn't sound like he is going to claim innocence, just that MLB tried too hard to catch him. Laughable that he is talking about MLB paying Bosch when we was paying his lawyer including trying to slide an extra payment in there.

Anybody with a much money to lose as Arod would be doing the same thing. We might hate him but we're talking over a hundred million with bonuses.

...I agree that he's doing what he thinks is in HIS best interest, but the way I see it, the money he has coming to him will be money he stole from the Yanx because he took it under false pretences. He flat out lied to us, his team mates, and to management about when he was on the juice

...his legacy is shot, and so is his game. The guy could have retired as one of the top 3 players to have ever played the game but he sullied himself and the game by being greedy. His hip will eventually heal, but a disfigured reputation lasts forever.

Well said 59. I still think once all the arbitration rulings are in and the smoke clears the yankees write a-rod a check for whats left and tell him to go take a hike. A-rods suit is aginst mlb only and doesnt involve the yanks. Once yanks cut ties no other team gives this egomaniac a contract ala bonds and the 30 million left withers on the vine as they say.

I don't see why anyone even cares at this point, talk to me when the decision comes down, otherwise I give it no mind, done with this mess.

I think the bigger story is that teams are winning ballgames right now, and one will be champion, with cheaters on their roster, only a fool thinks otherwise.

He is thinking about the money short term... what's to say the difference between 211 and 162 games (at $150,000/game comes to $7.35M) wouldn't be made up elsewhere and without the lawyer fees if he lets this go away... If he were to write a tell-all book, I'm sure he would make at least triple that... with such a cloud over him, no way he gets into the HOF no matter what the outcome of these hearings are.... so it seems like money has to be his concern... embrace it and write that tell all book...
