NBC has ordered an additional nine episodes of James Spader's drama The Blacklist, rounding out a full 22-episode commitment.

The news comes hot on the heels of ABC's first cancellation, Lucky 7, and FOX's renewal of Sleepy Hollow (which is sticking to 13-episode seasons); that makes The Blacklist this fall's first new show to get picked up for a full 22-episode season.

"The many layers of Red Reddington and his mysterious reasons for getting into bed with the FBI seem to be fascinating to fans of this show," said NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke. "With great talent like James Spader and Megan Boone on board, as well our stellar executive producers and the whole cast and crew, we believe this outstanding series will continue to make NBC a big destination on Monday nights."

The Blacklist is currently the number one drama across the Big Four networks this season, averaging a 3.6 rating, 10 share in adults 18-49 and 12.0 million viewers.

Ya it's not bad I also like the new show Chicago Fire. I'm kind of disappointed in The Crazy Ones. I like Robin Williams so I hope the show makes it but I don't know if it will.

The Crazy Ones wasn't bad, but I don't know if I see Robin Williams staying on TV very long.

    3 years!

It takes 3 years of episodes for a show to be syndicated. That's when he starts making the big $$$$$$. I heard Larry David as co-creator of Seinfeld has made over $1 billion off of syndication. Alec Baldwin worked for a fairly low salary on 30 Rock with the hopes the show would go into syndication.

I'm a bit surprised Robin isn't doing movies instead of TV.
