I've never had them while sleeping- I've had them a lot when I'm playing basketball or football...and its usualyl cause you're not hydrated enough...it kills tho.

I haven't had any leg cramps. I guess I am lucky. I've had a strained neck from sleeping in a funny position and that really sucks though.

I've only had one in my life, and it happened when I was in my bed watching TV. I had never felt so much pain in my life, I was hitting the wall with my fist while I was holding my leg...

A few months ago I had them really bad...I'd wake up and my calf would feel locked up and it was a goofy/painfull experience.

    Re: Leg cramps!

I was working out yesterday, and when I woke up this morning felt a bit stiff in upper back. I went to play ball after school, and about 5min after finishing I was in terrible pain. Everytime I walk it kills, and everytime I try to jump or run it tightens up so bad that I lose my breath. Not first time this has happenned, either...

    Re: Leg cramps!

EVERYONE HAS CRAMPS!<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Nocturnal leg cramps are involuntary muscle contractions that occur in the calves, soles of the feet or other muscles in the body during the night or (less commonly) while resting. The duration of nocturnal leg cramps is highly variable with cramps sometimes only lasting a few seconds and other times several minutes. Soreness in the muscles may remain for some time after the cramp ends. These cramps are more common in older populations but may happen to anyone. The precise cause of these cramps is unclear. Potential contributing factors are believed to include low levels of certain minerals (magnesium, potassium, calcium and sodium), dehydration and prolonged sitting. Less common causes include more serious conditions or use of drugs.</div>Figures, the cause isn't known. LOL It's because you're old tony.

    Re: Leg cramps!

I don't like leg cramps. One time I got one in my calf muscle when I flexed it to show my friends how strong they were. It totally locked up for like, 15 seconds. One of the worst pains ever.

    Re: Leg cramps!

I've gotten them before, never while sleeping though. Only once or twice while playing bball. It was freaky the first time it happened though because I didn't know what it was and my leg felt numb, thought I f*cked up my leg bad but after about 10 mins or so I was good to go.

I get them in my foot sometimes when I go swimming...for example, when I go on my tippy-toes. Indeed.

    Re: Leg cramps!

I got it a couple times while sleeping. But it was due to running long distances like Cross Country. That's killer, let me tell you. My coach is awesome, but he works us like dogs. It helps and hurts at the same time. Try to ice it Tony.l
