Can you name a preseason when there hasn't been an injury? If this was the first time ever there was an injury during preseason, then yes, starting the thread could be considered to be a jinx. However, going from past experience where it is to be expected that there will be some injuries - generally minor in nature, starting the thread makes sense in order to keep track of the various injuries rather than to start threads for each individual owie. Gramps...
It sure seems like there have been a lot of injuries this time around. Mo's ankle. CJ's foot. Aldridge's quad. Dorrell's finger. Earl's.... whatever he hurt. I'm wondering if the guys are just going really hard this time around, or if we're just really unlucky. I don't remember this many injuries in training camp before though.
