I live in a predominantly white upper middle class neighborhood. We will provide for each other in an orderly fashion and be a model for the city.
Yeah...I have a red backpack from the Red Cross though. That should be good enough don't know what's inside it.
Why not handle emergencies the way the CIA's been trying to, in Iraq, since 2003? http://www.al-monitor.com/pulse/originals/2013/10/dinar-currency-iraq-plans.html From the comments: "Turkey, Israel, Brazil, Argentina and many other countries did it. What's the fuss?"
In addition to what I have, since I have weapons, I also know where to get... 15,000 calories of canned goods. Red Cross Emergency medical kit Red Cross hand powered radio, shortwave, flashlight and lamp all in one. 6 of those camping size containers of propane acid camp stove, lighters and matches. Also a camping stove. 5 one gallon jugs of water. 1 prescription of Cipro antibiotics Packed bag with Change of clothes and rain gear, hat gloves (dopp kit and first aid kit also in bag) $250 Several flashlights and batteries Multi tool, duct tape, super glue Instant coffee and vodka
LOL! First hint of trouble and you're hiding in your bunker. You'll be like that Japanese solider who kept attacking villagers in the Philippines for 40 years because he refused to believe that WWII was over.
We have been prepared since a week before hurricane Ike. Our neighbor told us we should get a generator, water and other hurricane kit items. Ike came and we had no power for 11 days, in the heat of summer here in Texas. Without the generator, we would have been screwed.
Hmmm...our power went out an hour ago. Right after my wife took dinner from the oven. Rarely happens and only a couple hrs when it does. Fireplace is ready to light, candles at hand.
Another thing to add to the supplies, reading materials of all types, cause if we have to go an extended period of time without the internet, you better be ready. I have a few novels and stuff like that, but I don't own any porno mags anymore with the interwebz always available. And if the power goes out, there really are limited activities to do.
