Grant Hill has talked about owning a NBA team after he retires, and so has Shaq. In fact, they both talked seroiusly about being co-owners of the Orlando Magic after their careers come to an end. Some former players make great GM'S and coaches (Dumars, Byron Scott, Pat Riley, Phil Jackson)Which ones would make good owners? And what cities would they bring teams to?

Owner and GM are different. I guess Allan Houston, Shaq, and all those mega-money makers could be owners...GM? JKidd. Nobody knows more about the league and every team's roster and style of play in my opinion than him.

Haha, what would you base this on? There's no way to tell if they'd be a good owner or not.

You can definitely tell who would make a good owner. You have to do a little research on what some players do with their money. If they spend their money wisely, that would translate to good ownership in my opinion.

I don't think any NBA player would be a good owner. they know nothing about the ownership side of basketball, few if any have the education needed to become successful not to mention the funds needed. even James and his 100 million dollar contract wouldn't be enough to buy a team or get an expansion franchise.

Nba Franchises make thier own money, so if he wanted to get one he could - even if not he could get a business loan. :HAHAHA:
