Can anyone think of really overrated teams who get the benefit of the doubt 9 times out of ten?

Personally I think the Suns are a team that is overrated when it comes to scoring, and skillful ability, but they do end up winning

I don't know if I would call the Bulls overrated. I expect a lot from them this year. They probably have the deepest team in the league, they have young stars, they all understand defense and play it well, they are a cohesive unit, they just added a face-of-the-franchise type of guy in Big Ben, they have one of the most clutch players in the league (obviously Ben Gordon), a very good/underrated coach that demands the best out of his players, and they are all unselfish. People knock on them because they don't have that "star," but you know what? Look at the Detroit Pistons from 04. I mean sure they have All-Star caliber players, but no real superstar scorer or whatever people are knocking on Chicago for lacking. I mean think what you want guys, but the Chicago Bulls are going to make a LOT of noise this year.I really can't pick a team that really stands out as overrated, but I see where you guys are coming from when you say the Lakers... to an extent. Without Kobe they are a lotto team, easy. But the fact is, they have Kobe. This Lakers team is getting better, but I don't see a championship in LA any time soon like some do.

I think the Bulls and Suns are overrated because of their expectations after this offseason, I think their too high. Especially for the Suns, I'm tired of that crap about Amare returning. Let's see how he returns first before we say stuff like their adding a All-Star automatically. Just for that, I think their overrated.

Wait, how can you call the spurs overrated when they have been to the playoffs nine years in a row that just doesn't make sense to me. But the most overrated team has to be the nets because:1. They dont have a proven big man.2. They only win their division because they play in the weakest division in the east maybe the worst in the league.3. They never have won an NBA title.

I don't think it's just getting Amare back. I think he'll do a great job but like I've said many times....Suns without Amare and Tim Thomas last year were on pace for 60 wins until Kurt was injured. Now they have a 2nd big man in Amare who should at last put up some decent numbers and help out on rebounding. And we have Marcus Banks now who is a much better defensive player than House, can score, is extremely quick and will give Nash more rest. This is a better team. If you even take out Amare I'd expect 58+ wins.

Half of this board believes we will miss the playoffs. We are definently underrated not overrated.

The most overrated team in the NBA is the Phoenix Suns...HANDS DOWN. Every year, people say those wannabes are going to win the title and every year they F*ck up because of their incompetent defense. And on top of that, they act like Amare Stoudomire is the greatest bigman in NBA history. It's all bullsh**.

haha, wow. every year? try they were a sleeper team two years ago (they were in the lottery the year before), and Amare's AND Kurt Thomas' injuries were huge. They could've made it to the finals last year if it weren't for thomas' injury. I mean, seriously, they had diaw at fulltime Center.

Seems like every year, they get so much hype. They aren't going to the Finals, a one-dimensional team never will.

And the only weakness right now that I see in the D is that a lot of it depends on KT. If he can stay healthy their D will be pretty good this season.
