<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Details are beginning to surface about Jay-Z's long-rumored comeback album, which will be his first since announcing his retirement three years ago and becoming president of Def Jam. The new disc is reportedly titled "Kingdom Come" and due in November via Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam. It is expected to feature production from Dr. Dre, Timbaland, Kanye West and Coldplay's Chris Martin. In July, Pharrell Williams told Billboard.com the Neptunes are also producing tracks for the album. As previously reported, Hype Williams will direct the music video for the first single, which is said to be "Show Me What You Got."Although Jay-Z's last studio effort was 2003's "The Black Album," which has sold 3.2 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan, the rapper has since appeared on songs by Beyonce, Kanye West, Young Jeezy and Rick Ross, among others."You all are hearing things from me -- you just haven't heard an album," he told Billboard.com last September. "Who knows? I'm still going in the studio, getting on remixes and things like that. But it's the people. When people want something bad enough, it happens. And they want it bad (laughs). I'm trying to hold out, but I don't know how long I can."The artist is in the midst of an international tour to raise awareness about the world's water crisis, which will be chronicled in an MTV special debuting Nov. 24. The trek hits Amsterdam on Friday (Sept. 15).</div>Kinda old news..but hasnt been posted yet. :dunno:

This will either be average or suck. The Black Album was decent, nothing special and I expect this to be similar. Eminem is also coming out with a new album, if you haven't heard.

You shouldn't get your hopes to high on this Lakerfan, Jay has lost some of his touch.

Well, Eminem lyrically sucks now. He has no topics anymore, neither. I think his career is over.Jay-Z? I hope his album comes out hard because I don't think he wants to embarrass himself.

I bet like half of the songs will be about him coming back.I don't think his last two albums sucked. Black Album wasn't anything special, but I liked Blueprint 2 a lot.

Don't you just hate false retirements. Retirement doesn't have the same meaning as it used to thanks to people who don't know the difference between breaks and actual 'retirement.'

Encore?! That's where I drew the line. Eminem has fallen off immensely. I believe the Slim Shady LP was his best album because of the lyricism and creativeness. He didn't speak about "already-spoken-of" subjects. He rapped about sh*t that was untouched. These days, it's hard to find new topics. Eminem used to be the guy you'd listen to due to lyrical satire, but now he sucks. He's garbage and even his "joke songs" (nothing but sillyness) are wack! What happened, Em? He's past his prime, I guess. I didn't know that could happen to rappers. Strange... I thought it was only for athletes. I mean, just look at Rakim, Big Daddy Kane and KRS-One. They may not be so famous anymore, but they still drop hardcore rap sh*t that makes you want to bite their sh*t, spit it and claim it's your's.

Stop looking at lyrics so much, a rapper isn't bad "now" because they don't speak of what you want them to. if the beat and flow is good, a song can be good, and so can an album. Encore has sick beats on it. I just wish he didn't F*ck up songs like Puke and My 1st Single. if he was more serious, he could seriously be considered greatest rapper of alltime. Re-Up should be sick, all of Aftermath is bragging about it. Also, I think he might do another solo album after Re-Up. Re-Up is mainly for his After-Math homies to get some rep. He gets most credit and most songs he's in em, but I think he should make Re-Up his best album thought it won't be considered it. Also, Slim Shady LP was really good, but very cartoonish. Marshall Mathers LP was very very serious and funny at the sametime. Eminem Show and Marshall Mathers were both his best albums imo. Eminem Show was very mature compared to the others. He didn't speak with that edginess, instead he spoke with power and confidence. Also, you saw the human side of him. Encore had the good songs like:1) Never Enough (awesome flow and beat. nate dogg was good in it)2) Yellow Brick Road (creative song, good work em.)3) Like Toy Soldiers (1 of eminem's greatist hits)4) Mosh (different than white america, so stop comparing them! it's also much better than WA)5) My 1st Single (beat was goood. why'd you F*ck it up em?)6) Mockingbird7) Curtains Down/Encore7 good songs. Compared to other albums like New Joc City, it's a great album. It's hard to believe people consider Yung Joc a good rapper with 2 good songs on his album and Eminem is "garbage now" because he doesn't have that certain edge. Listen, I don't know maybe you're hyping him too much but I've never been dissapointed by him because I know what to expect.

For all the talk and hype Jay-Z gets, when people talk about the best rap songs ever he's never even mentioned.
