    Saw that on MLB this AM, somewhat surprised, he's been away from the field game for quite some time. If his managerial ability is level with playing abilities he'll be successful. He'd be inheriting a pretty good group of players over there. I'd have to wish him the best as well.

    As the head of the team his arguments with umpires would be must-see TV, as would his post game conferences. Maybe the years in the booth have mellowed him but I doubt that once he gets on the field. Regardless, best of luck to Paully O!

    I was thinking the same thing regarding his temper... should be good to watch if he gets it

    ...unless his temper has mellowed, his personality probably would not mesh well with many of the prima donnas of todays' teams...just sayin'.

    I personally think Paul would make a very good manager but not in todays game.
