    Not the first or even second offense for Palhares (Helio Dipp and Thomas Drwal were also victims, and Palhares was suspended for elevated testosterone as well). Knee and leg injuries can sideline fighters for months, years, even end careers. I agree with the decision to cut him and I think the UFC has taken a good stand here (no pun intended) releasing a guy after a win. Shame we never got to see Maia/Palhares but then again it might've been worse than Maia/Shields...

    Palhares' manager says the fighter is perplexed by the decision. He says that they'll have Palhares start seeing a sport psych in Brazil to sort out why he zones out during fights. Could'a thought of that sooner, perhaps...

    No issues with it. The guy is a habitual offender. He seems to be a bit psychotic.
