I know no one will want to admit it, but right now that Nash trade was a great trade for CBJ. Nash was okay last season, not great. We had a well below expectations season. Nash didn't do a darn thing in the playoffs, he was a ghost. We got knocked out early. Now he is out for a little time this season. Meanwhile CBJ way exceeded their expectations, and are heading in the right direction. Now I am not saying I wouldn't make the deal again. And I am not saying it won't look great for us at some point. But right now you would really need to stretch things to say we got the better of that deal.
In some ways it's too bad they have Lundqvist, they would actually be better served getting a top 3 pick for a year to get an impact prospect. He'll probably keep them in the 10-15 range.
