How exactly is an Asik for Aldridge trade "fair" for the Blazers? One is arguably the best player at his position, the other is a solid starter, but not an All-Star.
Oh I agree Aldridge is clearly a better player than Asik. Asik is much better than Leonard though. Batum for Parsons is a lateral talent move and a chemistry downgrade for Houston.
I wouldn't be apposed to a trade but I wouldn't be actively looking for one. I'd like to see this team play about 20 games before any major shakeups occur (unless the deal is to good to be true) Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
I would be open to a lopsided trade in my favor at any time. Only under certain circumstances would I make a lateral trade. Olshey's basic idea is that the players he signs improves their trade value by their play and THEN trade them - that's when they're "ripe". Our new players are still too "green" right now. Interestingly, Olshey has very much a slave auction mentality but he augments that by developing personal relationships with the players. It's pure rationalism, and exactly what we need.
Haha just giving you Shit about letting the cake bake. I don't want to make a trade right now, I just had to shudder at the phrase "let the cake bake."
The damn cook set the temp way too high and burned the whole pie. Filling LA and Batum were safe in the middle but the rest made us all sick.
