There really aren't many 'bad teams' left. Teams like the Bobcats, Hawks and Portland have all made major moves. This is the basic list. Portland Charlotte Atlanta Golden State Toronto New York I think New York will improve this season, they have too much talent not to. Throw out what happened last year, they have a head coach that will set a rotation down. I just think the Knicks will be a solid .500 team and make the 6th seed or so in a weak division. Who do you think will be the worst team this year?
New York, They have done nothign this off season but sign what one guy and thats not going to help them they will end up being the worst once again!

People don't realize how much of a mess Larry Brown was, I think the players will respond better to Isiah Thomas and being together a little longer without big moves disrupting things will help. A lot of things will be different this year despite being the same basic group.
I think it's a toss up. Depending on injuries as well. New York seems to be everyone's favorite pick but I don't seem them being the WORST of the bunch. They have talent, they just need direction.
Eh... I have a feeling that Charlotte will put up the worse record. First off, they basically have the same team, there isn't really a go-to-guy on the team who ought to have the ball in his hand in the clutch moments, and MJ is GM, which means another Kwame Brown-type of travesty will occur sooner or later. :boogie:
The Hawks. they've tried making moves but since the court system wont let them do anything useful in NBA terms than they wont improved over last year. besides Sheldon Williams looks like a bust,
I think the Knicks will be better but they still don't have a good team in place. I think they'll be far from the worst but not a playoff team. I don't see the Knicks playing together with the types of players they have but the coaching change and talent will help them do better. I don't think they'll be any better than 3rd in their division though. Toronto and Atlanta improved a bit. I think it'll be Portland with Charlotts and GS right behind. Don't forget Seattle.
The New York Knicks will finish the season with the worst regular season record which will lead to the drafting of Greg Oden for the Chicago Bulls. The New York Knicks have not improved from last season and if Isiah Thomas doesn't even understand what he's built his own team around then how do you expect him to improve the Knicks next season.

Who do you think will be the worst team this year?</div>First off, I think every team you listed is going to be relatively close, so this is a tough decision. Toronto will improve, I like the Ford deal and they picked up some solid role players (Rasho, Jones, maybe Parker, and Bargnani). I think New York has a solid outside chace of making the playoffs. I just don't see a team with this much talent coming in last. No way. I also really like the Blazers' offseason. Roy/Aldridge was an awesome draft, and Sergio Rodriguez could impress a little down the line. Webster is going to take on a bigger role this year. Randolph is an idiot, but he's still a 18/10 guy. Magloire/Przybilla is a solid center rotation, with bits and pieces of Raef and Aldridge. Dickau could have a solid year off the bench as well, but my man I am looking out for is Jarrett Jack. He is going to have a good year. I think Portland is going to improve.I think Atlanta improved a lot more than people think. Sure, they lost Al Harrington, but Shelden WAS a good pick (he will help them a lot), Speedy was a solid signing, and so was Wright. Charlotte could improve a good deal if Okafor is healthy, then you add Felton/Wallace/Brezec all 1 more year mature, then you figure May is back, then you add in Adam Morrison. I think they are going to have a decent year actually. Golden State has a solid young core to go along with Baron/J-Rich, and I like the young big man rotation of Diogu, Beidrins, and O'Bryant. I also think Nellie will help that team a lot, because they have a lot of weapons in his "small ball" offense. Also, watch out for Monta Ellis.I hate to do this, because this "race for last" is so damn tight it's impossible for me to choose. I'm just going to say Golden State. I think all of these teams will be better than they were last year, except Golden State. Baron is never healthy and this team is still too young. I really like this young core they have, but I'm saying Golden State. I think Nellie will be good for the Warriors, but it will take him a year or so. They can run all they want, but they still lack defense and experience. Plus, like I said, all these teams have gotten better. Golden State hasn't.

I mean Okafor was practically out most of the season for them and they hung in every game. That go to guy was what they lacked in the 4th quarter, but I think that's one of the reason why Morrison was drafted. Despite being a rookie, he will be that go to guy offensively they needed last year. If they can land Bonzi, things change. Still agree, they could finish last though. But on the MJ part, he's not a bad gm, every gm makes mistakes. The perception when Kwame was taken 1st, was practically that most gms would have taken him first. You can't hold that against him.
I still think Gerald Wallace can be a go to guy.15PPG on 54% shooting is damn good, he has tons of athleticism and is a good size. Fixes up his jumpshot a bit he can easily be a Richard Jefferson with a better defensive game. As for worst team, I'd say either Portland or Atlanta. I like all the offseason moves by each team, but feel NY has too much talent to falter as badly as they did last year, Toronto already had talent and improved a bit (not to mention an all star in Bosh), GS has lots of talent and with a coach that will utilize their talents they will surely be better. That leaves Portland, who made a few good signings but are still a bit of a mess, and Atlanta who lost their star (but still have Joe Johnson and Josh Smith will have a much bigger role). I'd say portland will have worst record.
People don't realize how hard the Bobcats play every night. They give you everything they have. Now that they have Emeka Okafor and Sean May back 'healthy' I think that will give them a kick as well as Felton coming in. Gerald Wallace is a FA this year so you know he's going to play like a mad man and they have Adam Morrison. It's just a matter of them staying healthy.
I disagree with Golden State. Monta Ellis and Ike Diogu will improve with minutes. Don Nelson is in, and JRich is still trying to prove why he deserves to be an All-Star. This is a solid team, strong backcourt, decent frontcourt.Last Place? Portland. They won't have chemestry this year. LaMarcus and Brandon Roy are NBA-Ready players, but Jarrett Jack is still unproven, and Darius Miles is still starting SF. They have a logjam at center, with LaFrentz, Magloire, and Joey Pryzbilla.

Golden State is just a soft team in general. Jarrett Jack still unproven? He played solid last year splitting minutes...He's a big reason why Portland traded Telfair. Since when is having a logjam at center a bad thing?
Monta Ellis and Ike Diogu will improve, and increase scoring and especially defense. Both are great at that. Jarrett Jack hasn't proved that he can lead a team by himself for an entire year. I still see the Trail Blazers in the cellar. It's not a bad thing, but it could cause problems in the locker room. My guess is that Pryzbilla starts, Magloire is first off the bench, and then Raef is last. Doesn't save a lot of minutes for LaMarcus Aldridge to learn the game, especially when you have Zack Randolph.

He is very athletic and a good defender, sure, but he's not a guy that can lead an offense or create his own shot very well. He isn't a great shooter and he doesn't have the best ballhandling skills (solid, but not great). Okafor and Morrison are the go-to guys before Wallace.
