Healthy Marcus Camby as in the 20/20 guy we saw from last seasonvsthe 04-05 explosive amare stoudemire who dominated the post time after timewhich would you want on your team
Are you serious? When perfectly healthy, Amare is a top 5 big man. When healthy, I still would take TD, KG, Dirk, Brand, Amare, Yao, Shaq, JO, and Bosh over Camby. Easily Amare. Much, much better scorer, and is a lot more versatile all around. I'll give Camby defense and rebounding, but that's it.
Did you see marcus camby last novemeber when he was 100% healthy. He would get 20/20 - 30/20 a night. Along with like 2-3 blocks a game.
He was like 12/12 for season, never much better throughout career....how do I know it just wasn't a hot streak? Kobe had 40pts or more through 9 games in 2002-2003, Artest was at like 25PPG on 50% shooting through 7 games in 2004 before the Palace isntance, etc.... Amare showed through a whole season, and one amazing playoff run, that he is the real deal. Marcus has never shown that, so I take Amare EASILY.
I'll go with Amare because he proved he was dominant before Steve Nash joined him. Marcus? He's fallen off after he left JKidd. That proves something, you know? Camby is really talented, but I'd never take him over a healthy Amare, even if Camby started on a new leaf with 100% health.
Not even close, Amare Stoudemire. Camby is a better rebounder and shot-blocker, but inside offensively, Amare just has that unbelievable explosiveness and is almost unstoppable when on his game. No contest here.

This is an awful comparison. I would take a 80 percent Amare over a fully healthy Camby as long as Amare didnt get less healthy by playing.

WTF? http://www.nba.com/playerfile/marcus_camby...son_splits.html You want to talk his November stats? He got 16.3 points, 13.8 rebounds, and 3.5 blocks per game. That is SO FAR OFF from 30/20. I can't even believe you said that. When both are 100%, Amare Stoudemire is one of the best players in the NBA, period. Camby is the better rebounder and shot blocker. But Amare is more athletic, a much better offensive player, stronger, also a solid rebounder, and he has decent man defense as well. His goal last year, before he found out he had to sit out the whole season, was to win Defensive Player of the Year. He could do it if he comes back full strength. Camby could too, no doubt, but if both are healthy Amare is clearly the better player. Again - 20/20? 30/20? :HAHAHA: :HAHAHA: :HAHAHA:

Outside of the exaggerations, Camby is a really good player when he's healthy, and certainly a much bigger defensive force than Amare was efore he got hurt. Sense says that you have to take Amare because a healthy Marcus Camby is almost an oxymoron.Who knows what Amare looks like now though...
Lol, Amare Stoudemire. He's a far better offensive player than Marcus. Marcus is old. He will give you defense, rebounds, and blocks, but Id take Stoudemire because of how great he is offensively, when healthy. He is probably the best big man scorer when healthy.
Obviously he wasnt pointing out that Camby averaged 30/20. He said that Camby could give you that some nights. That is still off though. I remember one game he did have 20/20 though..
