Due to personal health issues I will be off the boards for a few months effective the 23rd of this month. Hopefully I'll be back before the end of the year. Allow me now to wish everyone here a wonderful & healthy upcoming holiday season. I'll be back as soon as I can.
Rick, speedy recovery and get back, you're a good Yankee Fan, we need all the good ones back to critique all Yankee offseason and spring training moves beginning in the middle of February.
...rick, what gauntlet are you having to endure this time? ...if you don't want to post it here, send me a PM.
I second that. I would also like to know and offer the IM if you wouldn't like to post it. Get well soon and good luck!
You're right 59 it does seem like it never ends for me. Hell over the last 5 years alone I've gone through a quadruple by pass, having 7 stints put in to keep my arteries open. shoulder surgery, my 16th back operation & 2 hip surgeries since November. Including the last one this past May to have my hip replaced. My kids call me the bionic man. But I'm tough, I've got a positive attitude & I try not to let all this shit get the better of me. And its because of that that I've been able to get through all that I have. And I'll get through this. Besides I've always lived with the following belief......."I once felt bad because I had no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet". For those of you that don't follow that it's basically saying that no matter how bad things seem to get, someone always has it worse. Thanks for the good wishes.
Sounds like you have a great spirit. The kind that overcomes these things. My inlaws are going through similar things. I'm not that much younger than they are, and just had my first real surgery (3 sinus procedures). The way I see it, the procedures are necessary, and quality of life improved after recovery. I really do wish you Godspeed.
...lol..I was just poking you with a sharp stick. ...now, on the serious side, whatever health issue you may now be battling, I'm sure you will come out on the winning end as usual. Keep us posted if and when you can.
Go get 'em rick! This too shall pass.... Hopefully, by the time you return to active duty here, there will have been several upgrades made to this roster that will bode well for 2014.
We will miss you Rich. I wish you the best and hope you have a speedy recovery. As Vette said hopefully by the time you get back the Yankees have made some positive moves towards putting a better product on the field in 2014.
vette my old friend looking forward to a new season with names like McCann, Morales & Ellsbury would in deed be great medicine. We can only hope.
Thanks for all the well wishes. Hopefully by the time I come back Cano will be resigned. And we'll have some new Yankees named McCann, Ellsbury, Morales & a solid starting pitcher. Oh & my Celtic board will be jumping with new posters.
