His Dodgers whipped again today, Puig hanging his head after the game was over, Magic Johnson did not look happy. The St Louis Cardinals wre one team no one talked about, I think it's within the realm of possibility that they could win the World Series again this year. The Tigers looke a bit uppity after the Oakland Series, Boston may have the Tiger by the Tail in the ALCS.

Am I the only one who thinks that if the Dodgers get knocked out that Mattingly will be out of a job?

Puig might also help his lose it if he keeps striking out at this pace.

...yeah, I can't believe that teams have not scouted him better and learned that Puig cannot lay off that outside breaking ball.

Speaking of Puig I've been collecting baseball cards for the 1st time since my son was small in hopes of getting his rookie card. I currently have in my collection the rookie cards of Bonds, Griffey, A-Rod, McGwire, Gooden, Strawberry, Pujols, Jeter & a few others. Unfortunately many of these players you'll notice are also steroid cheats which have made there rookie cards near worthless. What a waste.

If the Dodgers lose I'm quite sure Donnie will get whacked. Now 'ol Dusty Baker, player on three Dodger Championship teams has reached out to the Nats, do you think maybe Magic will reach out to Dusty. Right now Puig, looks undisciplined Hanley has crashed ditto Eithier and Kemp, for all the talk about how good he is the man doesn't show up for work much. Wel

I said it when he was interviewing for the yankee job....just didn't think he would make a good MLB manager. He really isn't.

According to MLB today the Dodgers will pick up his option, but I also remember the sports broadcasters talking about him managing for his job at the programs conducted prior to game one. We've all heard those "vote of confidence" stories before.

The Dodgers got a win today but they had a bit of luck going for them. One thing though IF Kershaw pulls of a game 6 win there may be a bit of panic in St Louis.

That's the one to watch there rick. Baker is a former Dodger, played on 3 Dodger WS teams in 77, 78, and 81, and would seem to be a legit alternative if Magic and the brass decide that Donnie isn't their guy anymore.

There's no way Donnie can go back to manage that team in my opinion. Let him go take the Detroit or Washington job and let Baker get his dream job in LA.

I thought the press conference he had was out of character for him. It was pathetic the way he was pleading his case I felt to the media. With that said, I can see why the Dodgers are willing to give him next year which I feels means be in 1st by the All Star game or your out. That is where I feel the Dodgers are at and I love Donny Baseball but he will not be the one to get them to the World Series.

...it kinda seemed that the Dodgers were trying their best to piss him off by firing his bench manager...I think it was a sign that Donnie's days are numbered, but who knows.

...always loved him as a player, he had one of the quickest bats I ever saw...but as a manager, he doesn't seem to be a very good tactician...glad they Yanx passed on him.
