How in the world can this guy get the call up. No Nash. Still no Hags. Now no Callahan. And to replace all that offense we call up a guy who had ZERO POINTS in 38 games last year?

I don't care what they think about Kreider right now, this team needs his offense and size in the worst way. We don't need yet ANOTHER 4th line guy here.

Kreider. Kristo. Hrivic. Lindberg. ANYBODY but Darroll freakin Powe.

This means that out of the 12 Fs that will dress Saturday, almost half are fourth line players. Powe, Boyle, Moore, Dorsett, Pyatt. Gross.

It sure isn't the ideal situation we would want for the first month of the season... but I don't want to join the panic party that thoroughly goes on here. This team still has a chance to get it right and be a playoff contender. If not, there are a lot of options that Glen can talk with AV about to shape the team to how he wants it. AV clearly isn't working with a team he feels comfortable with right now IMO.

This isn't about a panic party at all, this is about a really bad personnel decision

Im guessing AV just doesn't trust the kids right now... but youre right one of them should have been the callup.

Oh ok thanks, I didn't see that. I guess they only have one game over the weekend which HL will play anyway.

Sather's priority: Have strong minor league team. The kids will stay down there for a while
..........................unless injuries take over the squad.

This team is starting to look like those old Ranger teams with Moore, Hollweg, Hossa, Ward, etc......BARF

No Nash, Cally, or Hags for a few weeks. Take a look at this lineup. It is terrible without these guys. And Powe instead of Kreider. Clearly Kreider has issues, but for the love of god we are playing Boyle, Pyatt, and MZA in big scoring roles, we might as well bring CK up. Nothing to lose there.

At some point you have to figure breaks start going our way. A lot of important injuries early. Hopefully we get these out of the way now.

And BTW...Pyatt on the PK needs to stop also IMO.

Good thing is they play the devs and flyers next two games. They can get some points even with this dreadful lineup. They are not winning in Detroit though and home opener will be tough vs Montreal. Hopefully by that time at least Hags and Nash come back.
