Nice But notice how we look a bit sloppy at home but perfect on the road? Wish we were playing in Pasadena, have that focus Or will Helfrich and Aliotti remind our team not to be as sloppy?
JMHO, but saying we had terrible fundamentals is a bit overly dramatic. If we put up 719 total yards, 9.5 ypp and 62 points on any team in the nation, we are going to win. We also held WSU to 12 total rushing yards. LOL. Lots of positives and several areas for improvement...just like any football team in the nation. “One thing that is impressive about Oregon is how decisively they play. They are probably the most decisive team, as far as how they play that I can think of. They deserve a lot of credit.” “The play started, and they’ll run decisively, they don’t hesitate on anything they do,” Leach said. I think the zany pirate is correct. Oregon deserves a lot of credit. 7-0. First place in the Pac and a 2-3 ranking in the BCS out later today. :MARIS61:
No.... we were sloppy as hell out there. Defensive jumps, O line didn't hold their blocks, and got Marcus creamed twice because of it. Marcus too was a half second off with his throws and decision making. The D line could have also done a much better job putting pressure on the QB. We have the talent to compensate for these mistakes against a WAZZU, but UCLA, Stanford and Bama? We need a week of clean it up in practice! A great team would have made us pay for that sloppiness! Totally fixable and I know we'll be ready for FUCLA! Go DUCKS!!!
The offensive line was without one of their best and a true FR started for the first time in like nine years. On the flip side, our edge blocking and effort by the WR's was excellent. Lowe's block to spring Tyner, where he takes out one of the better Pac defenders, +1 more, was awesome. Yes, they got pressure and forced errors by Marcus. That will be addressed. But, we averaged over 9 ypp and had like 700+ total yards. That doesn't happen unless the big-uglies are getting it done. Improvements to be made, sure.... I didn't see the DL in rush mode and saw few stunts and blitzes. WSU QB was rushed, pressured...and a few times it resulted in an INT. Maybe we watched different games.
