The St. Louis Rams confirmed Monday morning that quarterback Sam Bradford has a torn ACL in his left knee and will miss the rest of the season. The Rams issued the statement Monday after an MRI late Sunday night revealed the damage to the knee.
While I have not been overly pleased with the performance of Bradford since he arrived. No one deserves a season or career ending injury ever. I believe there should be some sort of review by the NFL of the game with the Panthers. Some really strange things going on there. Fat lot of good it does Sam. Anyway I would have much rather seen Sam play his way outta a job than to have this happen. Although the Rams have come forward saying his job is secure. But it is a business and that can change quickly.
Indeed, an excellent point Ozark. The problem with that is, Bradford could burn the stadium down playing with matches and Fisher STILL wouldn't consider replacing him at QB. As you say, would like to see him play his way out of the position, but at this point the only way that's going to happen is when Fisher coaches his way out of a job. If we could somehow lose Fisher, Shottenheimer, Walton, and Bradford in one fell sweep, I'd be willing to take my chances with the replacements. We can't do any worse than what we have had this year. Even if we reach a level of mediocrity with Fisher like his Tennessee teams always seemed to be, I wouldn't be satisfied. I think you have to be in it to win it. I'm sick of being patient. I've been patient for 13 years now. Kansas City had two wins last year. They are the only undefeated team left right now. If they can turn it around in one season, why the hell are we expected to be eternally patient on this team????
Well from the Rams management point of view each time we get a new coach and staff its a new day. lol That doesn't help us long suffering fans abit. I wonder how things might have been different had Ryan taken the DC job? And yeah the difference in the KC deal is they all ready had the talent in place they just needed the leadership. We had and have neither. The reason I follow, support the Rams is well I guess I am just too dam old and stupid to start over.
The reason you support and continue to follow the Rams is probably the same reasons as I have....you have deep rooted connections to the team, and you're no quitter. My father and grandfather were Rams fans, and my wife and children are Rams fans (not necessarily by choice) and I've been a Rams fan since 1973. Any sit down to pee, bandwagon jumping snivel-weenie can root for their team when it's doing well. I takes a genuine fan to root for their team when they stink. So it's a badge of loyalty we wear when we are just pathetic like we are right now. Like we have been for 13 years.
Yes my dad was a mans, man. He introduced my brother and myself to sports early on. He (my father) was a big St. Louis Cards baseball and football fan. My brother is a Cowboy fan. And I the Rams. So you can bet there was some turmoil in the family around football season. I will say ,dad never tried to influence us one way or another he let us chose our own teams.
If we had to fill out an application to be a Rams fan, one of the questions would be "Do you enjoy suffering" Any other answer other than "immensely" would disqualify you.
