    ...Legal gymnastics 101;

    1. ARod's legal team was blocked from violating the confidentiality agreement, but they then leaked what the forbidden press conference that never happened was going to be about.

    2. ARod's legal team claimed that "We don't want to try this thing in the press."...but that's exactly what they were attempting to do before they were told by the arbitrator not to hold the press conference.

    I have tried to look at this from both sides and I have come to this conclusion. Statistically, when he retires regardless of how he obtained the numbers, his brand will have a value of (ZERO). He has poisoned his image and character to the point that he will just take his millions and potentially be more like O.J. than Mickey 20 years from now. I refuse to believe for one second that this is a "witch hunt" by MLB. As far as selective prosecution, not even that. He has in my opinion numerous chances to settle, yes, it would have involved sanctions, but no, he considers himself above the game, a fact that will always make me despise him regardless of his talents.

    ...yeah, his image is pretty much blown and cannot be redeemed...he can forget future endorsements too, well, with the exception of perhaps hemor-"ROID" commercials. I also think you're right about this whole thing not being some sort of "witch hunt" as ARod's camp would have you believe. If MLB has really wanted to be vindictive they they had every reason to crucify Braun after the stunt he pulled last year. ARod is trying to squeeze every penny he can out of his remaining contract and his legal team is throwing up all sorts of smoke screens and false accusations.

    ...I expect at a minimum, that ARod will at least be suspended for all of the 2014 season. And I hold out hope that he will be further pursued and prosecuted and ultimately be banned for life. ( I know, I know, but like I sad, I can dream)...hate actually wish this on anyone but I want the man to be professionally crucified and financially ruined...this goes to show just how much I despised the POS.

    Just an outside thought here... but when Selig does retire (planned on at the end of the 2014 season), maybe the new commissioner will go ahead and ban him to make a statement... maybe others (Bonds, Sosa, etc.) as well

    I am 59 years old, and I can count on one hand the players that I have hated seeing wearing the Yankee uniform. Arod's Yankee career has been disgusting to me. I have never seen a star player fail more in clutch situations, and I will be glad when we are rid of this human cancer. I know you will think that I will be the first to curse the 220 hitting replacement who leads the league in errors and such. But at least it will be just about baseball.

    I hope you guys are right and he gets hammered but I'm not optimistic he gets the whole season. I see something more in the 100 games range coming out of this. Particularily if MLB did cross any lines in the investigation, I see them thinking settlement. If they are confident they are clear (as they seem to be) they will likely push this to the end and let the arbitrator rule.

    What's of particular interest in all of this is the Galea grand jury stuff. I'm doubtful that MLB wins the case in getting that unsealed at this point, but if these lawsuits team ARod have going go forward, perhaps then. They could and would suspend him again if he fessed up in the grand jury that he got PED's from Galea and perhaps even get him purgering himself along the way.

    I'm with 59, I'd like to see him broke. Adding some jail time to that would be a heart warming moment in MLB history...

    ...hey, I would seriously rather see Nunez for a full season at 3B than ever see ARod play again...hell, I'd rather have me playing 3B than ARod.

    Then you would lose your posting privileges. Do you go to your left well ? How's your arm, do they use a calendar to time you to 1B? I hear you have warning track power, oh wait, that is an upgrade over last year at 3B.

    You think it'll be dropped from 211 games down to 100?

    ...HA!...it would be well worth it. I could also moonlight by finding hookers for Cashman.

    And that is where your posting skills would really come in handy for Cashman. All he can write are 300 million dollar contracts. But you would provide depth throughout the front office. We're onto something here I feel.

    Your first blind ad for Cashman would go like this, " Always had to pay for it, money no object, talent optional"
