    Sorry, wasn't trying to shoot the messenger. I was criticizing the Sporting News poll, survey, whatever they want to call it for leaving off one of the most loved Blazers ever and including one of the most divisive.

    I actually did answer your question, in words, that my all-time favorite Blazer is Brian Grant.

    I like Drexler because he gives the team credibility. My favorite in the past has been Jerome, but now my favorite is Brian Grant. I really love the work he's doing.

    Walton makes the most sense to me. But I actually voted Drexler, because I thought that's what they (and the younger fan base) would think. I'm moderately surprised.

    Time heals all wounds. I'm sure most voters were remembering Walton's contributions on the court during that magical championship season, not the acrimonious way he parted company with the team. BTW, I was there the night they retired Walton's number. He got a huge standing ovation and was very gracious in his speech. He has spoken fondly many times of his years in Portland and still seems to like the city. Of those on the list, he seems the most logical choice (to me).
