Pretty much this. Sounds like the ex player was expecting fans to cheer and never do anything else. When your at a game against a good opponent and its close you and everyone else goes through a rollercoaster of emotions on each and every play. Add alcohol to the mix and you get drunken yelling based on the persons emotion at that given time.
Anyone could have told this guy to expect a little bit of what he experienced. If he gets offended at drunken people being outspoken he shouldnt ever go to a party or a bar as well as never go to another college or NFL game

No way a player who has been on the sidelines at UW, OSU, WSU and UA has this thin of skin. No way. No way a player who had batteries and water-bottles thrown at them at UA thinks this is offensive.

This is exactly what I was thinking. There's no way he was on the sidelines for two or more years and never heard this kind of stuff yelled from the stands. Fans yell stupid shit. Doesn't matter what sport, what level of competition, they yell stupid shit. It also doesn't matter where you sit in the arena/stadium. It's either made up or someone is pulling his leg.
