Re: OT: Allen Iverson Retiers... He was a great player. I'll never forget his Game 1 of the 2001 NBA Finals. He was the only guy who could beat the Lakers during that playoffs.
Re: OT: Allen Iverson Retiers... LOVED Iverson in his prime. Anyone who derides him didn't watch him be a magician on the court. If he was Lebron-sized he'd be top-5 all-time.
Re: OT: Allen Iverson Retiers... Iverson, in denial, and hesitating to finally retire the last few years: If I can't retire, I can't retire man. If I'm hurt, I'm hurt. I mean ... simple as that. It ain't about that... I mean it's... It's not about that... At all. You know what I'm saying I mean... But it's...it's easy ... to, to talk about... It's easy to sum it up when you're just talking about retirement. We're sitting in here, and I'm used to be the franchise player, and we in here talking about retirement. I mean, listen, we're talking about retirement, not a game, not a game, not a game, we talking about retirement. Not a game. Not, not ... Not the game that I go out there and die for and play every game like it's my last. Not the game, but we're talking about retirement, man. I mean, how silly is that? ... And we talking about retirement. I know I supposed to be there. I know I'm supposed to lead by example... I know that... And I'm not.. I'm not shoving it aside, you know, like it don't mean anything. I know it's important, I do. I honestly do... But we're talking about retirement man. What are we talking about? Retirement? We're talking about retirement, man. We're talking about retirement. We're talking about retirement. We ain't talking about the game. We're talking about retirement, man. When you come to the arena, and you see me not play, you see me not play don't you? You've seen me give everything I've got, right? But we're talking about retirement right now. Iverson today: Man look, I hear you... it's funny to me too, I mean it's strange... it's strange to me too, but we're talking about retirement man, we're not even talking about the game... the actual game, when it matters... We're talking about retirement ...
Re: OT: Allen Iverson Retiers... Haha he'll always be a legend for the "We talkin' about practice!?" rant. AI gave no fucks about practice. Or retirement.
In other breaking news, George W. Bush has retired from being president, but Brett Farve is still trying to decide. BNM
Look for Allen Iverson to make a comeback next year. He will be 39 years old. He will go to the Lakers, Heat or the Knicks.
When his jumper wasn't falling he........ Continued to shoot and shoot and shoot aaaaaand shoot. Epic chucker.
He ducked out of his last 3 contracts, including foreign teams, so every owner saw him as unreliable and not trustwothy. He couldn't find a team anywhere in the world.
Isn't he bankrupt? I still don't see how that's possible... He had an nba contract worth 170 mil I believe, plus massive shoe contracts.
Allen Iverson is one of the best players in recent history not to win a ring. He led a 76ers team to the NBA Finals that wouldn't have made the playoffs without him. Who was the second best player on that team? Eric Snow? Tyrone Hill? Aaron McKie? Those teams were awful without AI. At the same time, Iverson was flawed, immature, and overly selfish for most of his career, and for that reason, he couldn't attract quality free agents to join him in Philly. Even so, I'll remember him as a fearless finisher and an unbelievable scorer.
He talked about that a few years ago,he isn't broke per say. He has an account with something like 55m that he can't touch until he is 50 or something like that.
